Working with Compositions

Compositions are created with the ImpossibleFX Editor and are the origin for dynamic movie templates which form the basis of personalized videos. For an introduction to the ImpossibleFX Editor and compositions and more information please see the ImpossibleFX Editor documentation.

Creating a Composition using a video as base layer

To create a composition,

1. Select or create a project for your composition.
2. Click on layersCompositions in the section menu
3. Click on addNew Composition in the list view
4. Select the video that you want as base layer
5. Click Create to create the composition and to open the composition in the ImpossibleFX Editor

Creating a Composition using an empty base layer

1. Select or create a project for your composition.
2. Click on layersCompositions in the section menu
3. Click on addNew Composition in the list view
4. Select Create empty base layer video
5. Click Create
6. Enter a name, width, height, number of frames, and select a frame rate
7. To set a color for the base layer click on the black color bar, to create a transparent base layer, do nothing.
8. Click Create to create the composition and to open the composition in the ImpossibleFX Editor

Opening a Composition

Each composition has an entry in the Compositions panel. Double-click a composition entry in the list view panel or select a composition and click editOpen Composition to open the composition in its own ImpossibleFX Editor window.

Deleting a Composition

To delete a composition

1. Select the composition in the list view
2. Click deleteDelete
3. Confirm the delete to delete the composition or cancel the operation
